About the role

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious and experienced Sales Manager to join our young and growing product business. With operations in the UK and North America, Filament CX and our platform EBM aims to deliver engaging and valuable digital assistant solutions for some of the world’s leading organisations. This is a permanent position working between our offices and from home, reporting to our Managing Director and Co CEOs. This is one of a number of crucial hires to drive the business into its next phase of growth.

We’re looking for someone passionate about being hands-on, rolling up their sleeves and doing the initial work to get the business where it needs to be in this stage of our growth. If you prefer to delegate rather than get stuck in yourself, then this position is probably not right for you.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Professional to join a busy team in a growing business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Enterprise Services and SaaS world (ideally within the financial services, healthcare and retail sectors) and will use this knowledge to understand who to target and how. We’re looking for someone ready to take the next step in their career and will have the passion to focus on new business development and innovative sales strategies, to engage and inspire potential customers.

Location: UK based.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the sales process using expertise in new business development to individually bring new customers on board and drive expansion
  • Position the business on a path to multi-million pound growth over the next three years
  • Build a network by generating leads and responding to sales enquiries and ensuring high conversion rates through building and nurturing lasting relationships with business contacts
  • Lead tender processes by building proposals and running pitch meetings for customer opportunities, in partnership with technical team members.
  • Know our EBM, chatbot management platform, inside out by nurturing your interest in the product and keeping yourself continually up to date with latest features and changes
  • Work with the delivery team to hand-off new clients for activation and platform onboarding
    Work to target and achieve individual and team KPIs
  • Keep the CRM system up to date with continuous updates on all sales activity.

The skills you will need

  • Proven 4 year + track record in delivering enterprise level, high value B2B software sales with significant and consistent sales results
  • Customer-driven, with a drive to deliver an amazing service at C-Suite-level
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A role model for innovative sales engagement to improve outputs and development of new team members
  • Have a real passion for technology
  • People management experience recruiting, leading and developing sales professionals.
    Ability to travel throughout the UK as required
